Achievements

VIP has been involved:-
  1. In the on-going process of the National Film Policy formulation, 2011
  2. In the on-going process of ZAMCOM’s Film School Project, 2011
  3. 2010-2011 been trying to help revive and rebuild Zambia National Association of Disabled Women (ZNADWO)
  4. 2010 consultants for Ray of Hope Talent Search Music Contest for persons with disabilities
  5. 2010 ran film making workshop for Samfya Women filmmakers, a CAMFED Project
  6. Coordinated and hosted various capacity building and training Programmes that has led to more than 200 aspirant and upcoming filmmakers being equipped. Some of VIP’s past students are employed by local broadcasters or productions house or have set up their own companies.
  7. Facilitated an opportunity for culture exchange for some filmmakers to travel outside the country for either a film festival or training programme as part of exposure.
  8. Has hosted local training programmes and foras where professional filmmakers have shared skills or information to local people.
  9. Founded the Shungu Namutitima International Film Festival (SHUNAFFoZ), former International Film Festival of Zambia (IFFoZ)
  10. Hosts Peace Day representing Zambia among the 193 UN States
  11. Has been a consultant to a number of local associations and production houses.
  12. From 2005-2008 suspended its activities to help revive and rebuild local associations like Zambia Society for Cinematographer (ZASOC) and National Association of Media Arts (NAMA)  that were at the edge of collapsing.
Awards

The user-contributed presentations are submitted as abstracts prior to the levitra price and may be related to (virtually) any R-related topic. The presentations are typically organized in sessions of either broad or special interest, which also comprise a “free” discussion format.

  5. Best Actor for Dr. Chimba-2009 National Association Media Arts Awards – Zambia
  6. Best Supporting Actress for the young actress Bupe -2009 National Association Media Arts Awards – Zambia
  7. Best Other Format Special Jury Mention award at the International Images Film Festival For Women-Zimbabawe
  8. East African Region Talent Award at the 2009 Zanzibar International Film Festival
  9. ILO@90 Decent Work award 2009 – Zambia
  10. Signis East African Award - 2009 Zanzibar Film Festival, Suwi
The film Suwi has a positive contribution to Zambia’s budding film industry, a motivation to artists and women. So far it has positively provoked various people including some women with disabilities who have since left the street begging and have embarked on reclaiming their dignity. The film Suwi is a first Zambian feature film in many respects; firstly written, directed and produced by the first Zambian woman Director. Secondly, by a woman with a disability addressing a diversity of issues affecting women in the modern community and thirdly, first Zambian feature film to be received so positively internationally with several awards.

SHUNGU NAMUTITIMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (SHUNAFFoZ) 2015

Vilole Images Productions is glad to invite filmmakers to submit documentaries, short films and full-length films to the Shungu Namutitima International Film Festival of Zambia (SHUNAFFoZ). The festival will run from Friday 21st to Saturday 29th August 2015 in Livingstone and from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd August 2015 in Kabwe. Deadline for submissions is Monday 22nd June 2015. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary, under the theme ''DARE TO DREAM, MAKE A DIFFERENCE'', the festival will accept Zambian and African films in competition. However, films from all over the world are for screenings ONLY. the 10th Anniversary will introduce another special award - the Artists Rights Award.

The festival will run from Friday 21st to Saturday 29th August 2015 in LIVINGSTONE and from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd August 2015 in KABWE. Deadline for submissions is Monday 22nd June 2015.
